Riot Fest is a big festival with tons of great bands and acts that you should not miss. Here’s our guide to what we think will blow your mind!
We won’t be starting till later in the evening Friday. We want to be able to hang the entire night, and not kill ourselves prior to an entire day of fun Saturday and Sunday. We’re getting old.
7:00-7:45: Die Antwoord on the May Farms Stage – I promise you, this will be a show to watch!
7:45-9:30: The Flaming Lips on the May Farms Stage – might catch part of NOFX on Byers Country Feed Stage before the show.
10:45-12:00: WEEZER!!! on the May Farms Stage – THE ENTIRE BLUE ALBUM DUH!, and they will be the only band playing.
We will spend most of the early day enjoying random festival activities until…
3:45-4:30: Clutch at the Byers General Store – We Came As Romans looks good, too – plus, they’re Michiganders like us.
4:45-6:45: Glassjaw then Taking Back Sunday on the Byers Country Feed Stage. We saw Glassjaw in 2011 at Soundfest in Michigan – amazing show with tons of energy. Be sure to check it out!
Here’s where you might want to call it a night or stick around to see:
9:30-12:00: The Cure on the May Farms Stage. 🙂
SUNDAY!!!!! – You’re hung over, tired, grumpy, and dirty (even after that long morning shower). AND YOU LOVE IT!
Then go wander around. Check out some of the other bands/stages/vendors for a while until….
4:15-5:15: Violent Femmes on the May Farms Stage.
5:15-6:15: Me first and the Gimme Gimmes on the Byers General Store Stage
5:15-6:15: 3OH!3 on the Byers Country Feed Stage. – Colorado’s own! You can’t go wrong with either one.
6:45-7:45: Dropkick Murphys on the Byers General Store Stage.
7:45-8:45: TV on the Radio on the May Farms Stage.
8:45-9:45: Rise Against on the Byers General Store Stage.
