“Nature does not hurry, yet everything is accomplished.”
Beautiful day at Key Stone Resort! Not too sketchy, not too hard… Just beautiful and leisurely.
Hope you’re enjoying your Fridays, friends! TGIF!
I’m going to be upfront and honest with you, because that’s what we do here at DenverSpeax. Scout’s honor.
There may or may not have been times in the past where I was not exactly thrilled to travel to Boulder, and avoided it at all costs. The last time visiting Boulder, I almost started to appreciate it (because I found a Free People store on the mall)…BUT, I feel that this could turn my thinking around for good:
Tickets go on sale Sunday, March 1st for the event happening Sunday, April 19th from 2 – 6 pm MST. Continue reading
We tried to make it to Silverthorn (from Denver) lastnight, but that was a big, fat fail. With the amount of snow and pile-ups on i70, there was no way.
We finally made it up earlier this afternoon and are now hanging out in a beautiful condo off of Ryan Gulch Rd.
Where to? Breck? Keystone? Beaver Creek? The opportunities are abundant out here! Where are you headed this weekend? Hopefully somewhere outside that’s inspiring.

Once again, we rented a few pairs of snowshoes from REI (roughly $25 bucks per pair for the weekend) and made the run from Denver to Squaw Pass.
These are the same directions for heading to Echo Lake, however we stopped about 12 miles early at a parking area off of the Pass in front of a large, open grassy area.
We parked, got our gear on, (visit our first Snowshoeing Adventure post to learn what gear will keep you warm and happy!) and headed across the Pass from where we were parked, and picked up a trail in between the cabins that lie a little off of the pass (you can see them from the road). Riding through one of the greatest cities to ever stand – downtown Denver, Colorado. DenverSpeax, 2014.
In order to stay motivated and active, I have signed up for my first Coloradan, non-alleycat bike ride! The Venus de Miles is taking place in Boulder, Colorado, this summer on August 29th, 2015. It’s an all-female ride, created to support women and create sisterhood. Venus de Miles is actually Colorado’s first all-women’s road ride! What an amazing way to come together with other, extraordinary women in the bike community. Continue reading

This Snowshoeing Adventure began with this beautiful, motivating, downtown Denver sunrise you see pictured to the left. I grabbed my coffee, my gear, put on some great tunes, and headed over to pick up my good friend, Kathleen. Continue reading
