Happy Halloween, Denver!

This Halloween will mark my other half, Steven, and I’s 1 year anniversary of the first time we visited Denver. We were in town for a few days to hang with good friends, go to the Saints vs. Broncos game, and ended up at Atomic Cowboy on Halloween. This year, we’re going back to Atomic Cowboy for “good measure” or to “come full circle”.  However, we’ll have sweet costumes this time!

Don’t know what to be for Halloween? No worries – In honor of Halloweens past, here’s a few good ones for ya:

Chest hair, bandana’s, mustaches, and rolled socks in our pants… we sang karaoke in Grand Rapids and let women rub up on us. We even practiced a dance routine for weeks that was unveiled Halloween night. Obviously, it was awesome. Left to Right: Emily, Sarah (SB), Kirsten. Credit: Sarah Bloomfield

Halloween 2010

Halloween 2010 – Jersey Shore. Spray tans, dyed hair, and obnoxious/slutty clothes – epic. (Left to Right) Kirsten, Bork, Sarah (SB), and Steven. Credit: Steven Mercer

Halloween 2009

Halloween 2009: Ron Burgundy and a kitty cat. Left to Right: Kirsten and Sally. I got thrown into a dresser that night!

Halloween 2008

Halloween 2008: Old people rule. Machete looked just like his dad! Left to Right: Steven, Kirsten, Mallory, and Mike (Machete).

Everyone have a safe and fantastic Halloween! Can’t wait to see the costumes.

According to the Denver Zombie Crawl Facebook Event Page, there were over 20,000 zombies last year; this year is all about breaking the Guinness Book of World Records, so make sure you register (for free) so they can shoot for an accurate head count. I felt it only appropriate to spread the word!

In Michigan, fall is such a fantastic time of year; now that we’re in Denver, CO, events like these will really help us get into the Halloween spirit. The costumes will be killer (haha, yeah… I had to), and there are multiple events on the actual date of the Zombie Crawl, like the Organ Trail.

While the Zombie Crawl (starting at 2 pm in Skyline Park) is a free event, tickets need to be purchased for the Organ Trail, which is described as a combo of “Amazing Race” meets “Fear Factor” with a touch of “Haunted House”. Check it out here for more details.

For more info, check out the website as well as Facebook Page for the crawl and other events.
