Grab a friend and sit under this cool chandelier. Denverspeax, 2015.
It’s true – we’ve been holding out on you.
City, O’ City is a restaurant that we visit on the regular, and have never written about. There are numerous factors that make up our decision to return repeatedly,… and part addiction to their Udon. Read on, my foodie friends! Continue reading
Oh,… you haven’t heard of Perrin Brewing, you Colorado hipsters? That’s because it’s that Michigander brew… that great mitten state style! Remember, once upon a time, we lived there – have to give credit where credit’s due! And, amazingly enough, Grand Rapids, MI, is a huuuuuge Craft Beer city. Continue reading
For coworkers that are near and dear to my heart, I will buy them the best cake on the Front Range for their birthday: a Turtle Ice Cream Cake from Magill’s World of Ice Cream.
Often, coworkers will say, “Oh, no! You don’t have to do that…Seriously!” Yeah, okay – let me let you in on a little secret:
IT’S NOT ABOUT YOU & YOUR BIRTHDAY. It’s about me getting some Magill’s Ice Cream.
SPRING IS HERE, and we’ve got patios on the brain. Here’s a list of a few of our faves and where in Denver you can find them.
Denver Bike Cafe. DenverSpeax, Spring 2014.
#1. Denver Bike Cafe – 1308 E 17th Ave, Denver, CO
We often hang out at DBC to study, meet with Denverspeax partners, and simply relax. They serve coffee, brews, and food with a smile on their faces and rad music playing. Check out DBC for their beer & cheese tastings that they hold out on the patio in the summer, too – they’re big supporters of local businesses and hosting local events spotlighting them. Also, hooray for picnic table seating! Click here to read more about this cool place on DenverSpeax. Continue reading

Using the fantastic Beer Drinker’s Guide to Colorado Beer Passport that we picked up from Denver Bike Cafe, we went on a little Beerventure yesterday to 4 local breweries: Black Shirt Brewing, Alpine Dog, Epic Brewing, and Renegade Brewing. Read more for an in-depth account of these great places as well as a map you can follow for your own Beerventure! Continue reading
Yes – this is real, and being sold at a venue near you.
We picked ours up at Denver Bike Cafe and mapped out a bike ride for this evening, covering the Denver breweries included.
Stay tuned to see how far we get!

Beer goes with football – it’s just how it works. Today, we’re partaking in both of Denver’s awesome pastimes and watching the game at Black Shirt Brewing.
Pictured above is the oh-so-tasty Imperial Chai Red Porter. Robust coffee flavor with hints and highlights of clove, cinnamon, and ginger. A delicious winter porter that everyone needs to try.
Thanks for having the games on, BSB! Even though the Bronco’s game didn’t turn out the way we’d hoped…
Can’t help it – we love a good piece of pumpkin pie buried in REAL whipped cream. Who doesn’t?
People who aren’t doing it right, that’s who.
“Hipster Speedball”. Well, that immediately sounds drug related. No worries – it’s not. Just a new, funny nickname for a beer combination I had this afternoon at the delightful Denver Bicycle Cafe.
Thanks, Denver Bike Cafe, for the great brew! I feel accomplished and relaxed. Goal achieved. Photo Credit: Kirsten Ebey, 2014.
1 part Wynkoop Cow Town Milk Stout & 1 part espresso, the Hipster Speedball is the perfect craft brew choice for the student trying to hammer out some work. Visit Denver Bike Cafe today to party with them on their 3rd birthday! Cake at 7 pm MST sharp. Don’t be late.

Ahhhh Seinfeld. Image courtesy of the inter webs.
I’ll be honest – I never really got into the TV show Seinfeld because every joke seemed the same, but dressed up in different clothing.
With that said, it definitely doesn’t mean that I don’t know about Festivus. Especially the Colorado kind that focuses on Denver-Only brewed beer!… Continue reading
